This man of humility as immense as his talent never lost sight of the fact that his aspiring brethren of the artistic community would need his help. His art institute is living testimonials to his dedication to the cause of art in India. Who but some one who has seen, the financial and social ostracism that an artist faces can help other artists best. In addition, he has ensured that this art passes to the coming generations and he has done a remarking struggle for the development and restoration of Indian culture and tradition and the nearly wiped out Indian art & crafts. In the last twenty-four years, he has not only educated thousands in folk arts, but also provided employment opportunities to artists. That is not all. This visionary in the field of traditional art in now nurturing a dream of establishing a large scale, fully equipped folk art institute, based on the traditional ‘Guru-Shishya’ pattern for all the five cultural arts, i.e. drawing, crafts, dance, music and singing. This ‘Gurukul’ would be providing free education to students from around the world, thus fulfilling his desire of increasing the scope of art in India and around the world., Currently he is working on an Encyclopedia of Art & Craft and the role of artisans and their belonging environments in Rajasthan. May his dream come true. This is Lal Singh Bhati. In addition, the first time one feels like denying the words of Ludovico Ariosto: Nature made him then broke the mould’ May nature never breaks the mould that it used to fashion out Lal Singh Bhati. The heritage and legacy of our glorious past-Indian Art & Culture needs many more such Lal Singh Bhati, if it is to survive and flourish.
